چکیده:

Constructing precise models for mechanical structures is a key step in the dynamic response analysis. This can be achieved by updating the finite element models constructed for those structures. In This paper modal testing is performed on a frame structure and its frequency response functions are measured. A finite element model is also constructed describing the mathematical behavior of the structure. The finite element model is updated using natural frequencies and frequency response functions. The damping coefficients for three first modes of the structure are then characterized by using the updated finite element model
