چکیده:

in this study the surface of st52 steel was alloyed with preplaced powder Ni-A1 by using a tungsten-inert gas TIG heat source following the surface alloying conventional characterization techniques such as optical microscopy scanning electron microscopy SEM and X-ray diffraction were employed to study the microstructure of the alloyed surface hardness measurement was performed of cladding the tribological behavior of the coatings was compared in room temperature dry sliding wear tests . the TIG clad coating is metallurgically bonded to the substrate and has a homogenous fine microstructure consisting of the primary NiAl dendrites and the interdendritic Ni3 AL,C phase the coating exhibits excellent wear resistance under room temperature sliding wear test conditions
