چکیده:

This paper presents a microstrip patch phased array antennas with wanted radiation pattern. The approach is based on phased array theory and is thedevelopment of a technique used for radiation pattern synthesis in planar arrays. An attempt to steer the main beam of the four-element array to anangle o q = 40 using a standard uniform progressive phase shifting technique and the aim of this antenna construction was to obtain a gain of 10dB. Antennaradome consisting of a dielectric layer improves the directivity of patch antenna. The antenna is simulated and completely is analyzed bycommercial HP HFSS and Ansoft Ensemble 8 softwares. The resulting radiation pattern and VSWR of the four-element array, operating at Cband,were measured and reasonable agreement with theory was obtained
