چکیده:

With the increase in the amount of vehicles, road safety and assisting drivers on roads has become an outstanding issue in the recent years. With the help of vehicular communications, gathering road information such as traffic, safety and accidents has become faster and easier. Informing emergency resources such asfire and police stations as soon as an unexpected event such as accident happens, could decrease the subsequent effects of the event such as death and injuries to a high extent. The efficiency of such system depends highly on the reliability of the routing protocol used to forward data packets through the multi hop connection. In this paper we will review current routing mechanisms and propose a novel routing strategy which finds the optimal routing path to each of the destinations by taking into account the roads connectivity probability and collisions on vehicles. With the use of NS2 simulator we will show the improved end to end delay and packet delivery ratio of our strategy
