In this paper, we study eigenstates and energy spectra of a coupled concentricdouble quantum ring with a perpendicular magnetic field in the absence and presence of an embedded magnetic impurity fixed in the internal ring In the absence of the magnetic impurity, the Aharanov-Bohm effect is clearly seen in the energy spectrumbut in the presence of the magnetic impurity the cylindrical symmetry of the concentricDQRs is broken and the spin–dependent exchange interaction between the electron and the magnetic impurity splits the eigenstates and opens the gap between the energy levels at the points of intersecting curves in the energy spectrum
