چکیده:

Liquefaction usually occurs in loose and saturated send.The main objective of this study is the consideration of liquefaction area in the earthen dam with due touncompressed and saturated layers (liquefaction potential layer) at foundation of earthen dam in earthquake time. In this research, a non-homogeneous earth dam wasplaced on a foundation; this foundation was included non-compacted soil layer. Analyses have been done by QUAKE/W software. Special Feature of this program is liquefaction areas representation. Study is defined that with descending the depth placement of uncompressed layer, the liquefactionextent has been reduced in the around of dam toe. Especially, downstream areas of dam were moved tothe free land of dam toe sides. Also, by depth of uncompressed layer increase with Liquefaction potential in foundation was represented to descend liquefactionareas in under and around areas of core, so there is no Liquefaction in these areas
