چکیده:

The Ka and Ku-Band are radio frequency ranges that are used for satellite communication. The Ku-Band (Kurtz-under Band) is split into multiple segments each for a geographical region of the Earth’s surface as determined by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Signal attenuation is caused by clouds, gases, rain and scintillation. Using modeling, fade Margin for the LINK BUDGET of the Stuttgart Ground Station at the University at Stuttgart Earth-to-space link is calculated. MATLAB code programs were used to calculate the rain and gaseous attenuation for DOWNLINK scenarios of both Ka- and Ku-Band.
