چکیده:

We used interfacial polymerization procedure with applying trimesoyl chloride (TMC) and piperazine (PIP) as the reagents for preparation of thin film composite (TFC) membranes on aUF support. Morphological studies including top surface were conducted to investigate the effect of sodium dodecyl sulphate(SDS) surfactant on the TFC membrane structure. SEM images show that the formation of crack and defects into the obtained thin layer is on the raise by increasing the SDS. The pure waterflux increased from 8 L/m2 h to near 20 L/m2 h. The retention of Pb ions decreased from 40% (TFC membrane without SDS) to near 10% ( TFC membrane composed of 0.5 w/v% SDS
