In this research, behavior of exterior concrete beam-column joints regarding to variable parameters is investigated. Experimental and analytical investigation of joint behavior is carried out. Two types of concrete including normal concrete (NC) and self-consolidating concrete (SCC) are used in Specimens. Also, two types of beam longitudinal bar anchorage are used in joint core. In the experimental part, 6 semi-scale exterior beam-column joints are manufactured and subjected to a constant column axial load and beam quasi-static cyclic load. In the analytical part, the Abaqus software is used for modeling and analyzing of test specimens. As the experimental and analytical joint capacities are in good agreement, the analytical model is used for parametric study. In this part of study, the variables include the type and strength of concrete and transverse reinforcement of column. Results show that increasing of transverse reinforcement in joint zone increases the load capacity of connection but it dose not effect on dissipated energy. Also, the load capacity and dissipated energy of connections increase with increasing the concrete strength, specially in specimens with 45° of beam longitudinal bars.
