چکیده:

One of the most important applications of corrugated composite sheets is using in morphing structures. Their prominent feature is having a completely different mechanical behavior in longitudinal and transverse direction of corrugation (high anisotropy). Corrugating a flat sheets lead to have different thermal behavior like as different mechanical behavior. In this study, deformation of composite trapezoidal corrugated sheets under thermal loading by FEM commercial software ABAQUS, has been studied. Thermal behavior of the trapezoidal panels of glass / epoxy composites is considered. Calculating the thermal deformation, thermal expansion coefficients in longitudinal directions of corrugated sheets, is extracted. Generally, the thermal expansion coefficients for corrugated and flat sheets is equal in transverse direction of corrugation, but in longitudinal direction of corrugation, the thermal expansion coefficients of corrugated composite sheets is more than flat sheets but for a trapezoidal corrugated composite the effective thermal expansion coefficients are equal to a flat one
