چکیده:

Terfenol-D shows giant strain in comparison with other magnetostrictive materials, when exposing to magnetic field. In Terfenol-D actuators, exerting proper pre-stress and magnetic bias makes higher efficiency. In this paper, experimental and numerical studies were done to suggest proper magnetic bias value, pre-stress and suitable ways to generate these values for resonant actuator was presented. Further, best range of magnetic field for minimizes magnetic reluctance for Terfenol-D is introduced. Base on these studies, a prototype of resonant Terfenol-D actuator with considering optimization was fabricated.
