to prevent weld cross -section from corrosion and not to use of weld metal for capsule and fuel reservoirs production which are applied in aeronautical industry method of resistance seam welding is used for welding of various aluminum alloys .correct selection of passing time and pressure gradient between jaws which are considered as parameters of the process is very effective in production of desirable welding bead in this study 2024-T6 aluminum alloys sheets with thickness of 1.6mm have been welded by various levels of the mentioned parameters for decreasing time and costs and also for attaining to better result taguchi design of experiment method has been used. so effect of each parameter on mechanical properties such as tensile strength and micro hardness of welding bead has been studied in 3 levels moreover some studies on microstructure of weld region were accomplished.
