چکیده:

This research aims to study Investigating the Relationship between Reading beliefs, Reading Metacognitive Learning Strategies and Comprehension in Rafsanjan City. This research is a description of correlation and data is gathered by 342 students using measuring tools, questionnaire and authorstructured comprehension test by multi-stage cluster sampling. Results show that active and potential reading beliefs predict general strategies, problem solving and reading protection. In statistical analysis Pearson correlation coefficient and multi-variable regression are used. According to results it can be said that role of reading beliefs in using reading metacognitive strategies and improving students’ comprehension is unavoidable. So, it is suggested that educational personnel and teachers consider promoting students’ Para-cognitive strategies using modern educational approaches and try to grow their reading and learning beliefs
