چکیده:

This paper presents an automated Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Controller (IT2FLC) that can be used to improve oil quality produced from a separation process. Automated fuzzy logic controllers are proven to be effective solutions for complex, nonlinear, or uncertain systems. A decisive variable in quality control of crude oil separation is the gas liquid ratio (GLR), and adjustments on this variable directly control the quality of oil produced during the separation process. The IT2FLC controls the pressure and liquid level within an oil flash drum and these variables are associated with the GLR. The objective of this paper is to design and implementation of an automated IT2FLC based on a modeled and simulated flash drum. The results represent a good enhancement in output oil quality in comparison with Type-1 fuzzy logic controller that had been applied before
