چکیده:

At the present study, the condition of structural stiflhess matrices is attempted to be improved using the genetic algorithm. In order to find an optimally conditioned cut set basis, leading to better-conditionedstiffness matrices, some conditioning numbers are selected as objective fimctions to minimize by using the genetic algorithm. Some examples are presented to illustrate the performance of the method
