Recent developments have once again directed thepublic interest to small scale and local generation of electricity.Environmental Problems, Reliability and Electrical Market aretypical reasons for this revision.Injection of DGs currents to a distribution network results inloosing radial structure and also increasing fault current level. itcauses the protection issues like unwanted tripping, protectionblinding and mal-operation of fuses.The severity of protection influence of distributed generationsdepends on the type, location and the size of DGs.In this paper a novel method has been presented for quantizingthe dependence of protection problem to DG’s location. Thismethod can also specify the location with the least protectionproblems for DG installation. Genetic algorithm is employed forthis search and specification and the proposed method has beenrun for a real network with implementation of DIgSILENTPower Language (DPL).
