چکیده:

Semiconducting chalcogenide compounds have been receiving much attention because of their wide range of applications in various fields of science and technology [1].Semiconductor selenides find many device applications as laser materials, optical filters, sensors, solar cells etc. Bismuth selenide (Bi2Se3) is conspicuous for its important and interesting properties and has attracted considerable attention due to its characteristic anisotropic layered structure as well as important applications in the field of optical recording system, strain gauges, narrow band-gap semiconductors, and electromechanical and thermoelectrical devices. During the past few years, the synthesis process and spectroscopic properties of the lanthanide-doped nanoparticles have attracted considerable interest since they are considered as potentially useful active components in lamps and displays, lasers, and new optoelectronic devices, etc. In this work, the synthesis process of Bi2-xNdxSe3, nanosheets and nanorods by hydrothermal method and their structural and spectroscopic properties have been described
