Permeability is one of the main features of the porous medium wich shows amount of fluid flux through none continues and empty spaces. Earth rock fill dams are made from soil which is nonecontinues material. The amount of flux seeping throught earth dams is very important from technicaly and economically point of view, thus steady state seepage analysis has studied to consider horizontal fifter blanket effects on two dimensional seepage analyses. state seepage is a long term behavior of dam. In spite of researches and studies still the effect of horizontal filter blanket on two dimensional seepage analyses is not analyzed in full detail. In this paper horizontal filter blanket effects on two dimensional steady state seepage analyses of earth dams was studied. The results showed that the amont of flux is greatly influenced by the position of horizontal filter blanket.
