the paper is intended to purpose a technique that permits the prediction of velocity pulse time history including the main problem of near source ground shaking forward directivity the strong motion is simply calculated by integrating the predicted waveforms aimed at making up the total number of ground motions. these earthquakes are interpreted to meet the standard code of practice ASCE-7-2010. sets of predictive attenuation relations in frequency domain are developed representing the prediction equation at each frequency the technique is implemented to the bam Iran region comparing the predicted waveforms at the three stations with those of the recorded data. the good agreement between the predicted seismograms and those of the recordings and also corresponding elastic response spectra confirm the reliability of the technique.
