In recent years, soft computing methods have generated a large research interest. The synthesis of the fuzzy logic and the evolutionary algorithms(EAs) is one of these methods. A particular EA is differential evolution(DE). As for any EA, DE algorithm also require parameters tuning to achieve desirableperformance. In this paper tuning the parameters of DE is done with a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) that adjust these parametersdynamically. The fuzzy logic Controlled differential evolution (FLC-DE) is applied to a suite of benchmark functions and The proposed method has been compared with the DE and some wellknown heuristic search methods. We show that the FLC-DE obtains better results in the majority of the testing examples.
