چکیده:

Isatin and derivatives are compounds with a wide range of biological activities. In the present study, Isatin has been reacted with benzene-1,4-diamine this compound was synthesized by reacting with AcOH , The chemical structure has been confirmed by means of IR and1HNMR, these compounds were reacted to Carboxylated Single-wallNanotubes in 950C for 120 hours to form antimicrobial compounds. The chemical functionalization of carboxylated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT-COOH) have been investigated by FT-IR, Raman, SEM, and elemental analysis. Toxicity assays with fibroblast cells and MTT test for measurement of viable cell numbers were also performed. Cellular results did not show any toxicity change in modified samples from that of the reference samples
