In this paper, free vibration analysis of moderately thick functionally graded skew plate with fully simply-supported boundary condition using Generalized Differential Quadrature (GDQ) method based on the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is studied. The governing differential equation for skew plate which is a fourth order partial differential equation (PDE) is obtained by transforming the differential equation in Cartesian coordinates into skew coor-dinates. The method provided accurate results with relatively small number of grid points. Results are compared with finite element software (ABAQUS) and good agreement is achieved. Some new results for the vibration response of the FG plates such as the effects of angle of skew plate, power law index, and geometrical parameters are presented for future references.
