This paper deals with the problem of laminar flows of nanofluids in a regular coil. The studied nanofluid was water-Al2O3 mixture. The results showed an enhancement of heat transfer rate due to the inclusion of nanoparticles in the base fluid, albeit the presence of particles in the flow increased pressure drop. The effects of the concentration of nanoparticles (Φ=۰, ۱, ۲, ۳ and 4) at two Reynolds numbers (Re=50 and 350) onaveraged heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop was investigated. This study showed a 0-13% and 0-11% increase in averaged heat transfer coefficient for Reynolds number 50 and 350; respectively. The results also showed pressure drop increases 0-98 %( for Re=50) and 0-90 %( for Re=350) as particle concentration increases from 0 to 4%.
