چکیده:

An asymmetric membrane with superior selectivity and relatively high flux for pervaporative dehydration of isopropanol (IPA) was successfully developed from matrimid5218 polyimide via solution casting method. The best separation performance (a flux of 0.014 kg/m2.h and a separation factor of1276) was obtained at 30 °C for a feed containing 90 wt. % IPA and at permeate pressure of 0 torr. SEM analysis showed formation of a dense and asymmetric membrane.
