Elevated temperature or ‘Warm Forming’ of sheet is one of the new innovative methods currently being pursued by automakers worldwide. This work investigates warm deep drawing process of Stainless Steel (SS304) and the effect of the forming temperature on the drawability of four different blank sizes from SS304 was studied at different forming velocities (2.5 mm/s, 25 mm/s and 50 mm/s). The material properties of stainless steel (304) obtained from different temperatures using steady state tests and true stress-strain curve in rolling direction obtained from uniaxial test based on ASTM- (A240) standard. The results were showed that formability and LDR (limiting drawing ratio) of SS304 increased with higher forming temperatures and lower forming velocity.
