چکیده:

Experimental study of convective heat transfer in annulus with cosine heat flux is performed for Reynolds numbers ranging from 850 to 1450. In order to produce cosine heat flux the element wire is turned around the tube with different pitch length. Surface temperature and overall Nusselt numbers obtained based on temperature measurements by means of k-type thermocouples. The results show that, the maximum temperature occurs above the middle of the tube, which exhibits the maximum heat flux, also by increasing Reynolds number the maximum surface temperature tends to become closer to average surface temperature. Furthermore by comparison of the overall Nusselts number with previous studies it was shown that the overall Nusselts number is comparable to other works with different boundary conditions
