چکیده:

Solubility of lactose in ethanol/water mixture with various volume ratios was measured at 22, 30 and 38 °C. The lactose solubility is strongly dependent on the ethanol/water ratio in the mixture. The experimental data were correlated using a nonrandom two-liquid (NRTL) activity coefficient model. The parameters of the model were evaluated and reported. The obtained results indicate the applicability of the NRTL activity coefficient model for solid–liquid equilibrium calculations of the studied system.
