چکیده:

In this paper, airflow around semi-circular shapes with different rim angle mounted over a flat surface is investigated experimentally and numerically. Hot-film anemometry is employed in the wind tunnel to obtain velocity field. For numerical simulation of turbulent flow field, the Realizable k-ε model is employed. Results are presented for semi circular arcs with rim angles of 90º, ۱۲۰º, ۱۶۰º and 180º. It is found that thearc shape with rim angle θ=۹۰º flow has not separation over the body and no recirculation zone can be distinguished behind the obstacle
