چکیده:

In this work, evaluation of mechanical behaviors of age-hardened A2024 and A6061 aluminum alloys are investigated. For this purpose after solution treatment of A2024 at 495◦C and A6061 at 529◦C in three different time and quenching in the water, the samples were aged at 190◦C and 170◦C, respectively, in different periods of time (1-10h). Precipitation stages during ageing were monitored by SEM micrograph of samples and evaluation of their mechanical properties such as hardness, yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, elongation and impact energy. Results reveal that by increasing ageing time, all sample’s mechanical properties were changed
