recently, there has been a renewed interest ininvestigating the aesthetic behavior of fabrics due to thedevelopments in objective evaluation techniques. To understanddrape behavior, it is essential to know how drape is measuredquantitatively. In this study, at first the application of an imagingsystem to the detailed objective measurement of the drapeprofiles of a range of woven fabrics, captured from a commondrape tester, is investigated. Drape coefficient values collected viathe image processing technique correlate strongly with thoseestablished using the common cut and weigh approach. In nextfractal dimension based on count boxing method is used toevaluate the image fabric drape. The result shows that fractaldimension method can be used to determine the fabric drape aswell as common drape coefficient.
