چکیده:

Presence of CO2 as a Green House gas has an ascendant trend in recent years. This gas is a serious threat for life; hence Kyoto Protocol was approved between countries to decrease Green House gases emission. CO2 is an effective EOR agent and the dominant greenhouse gas thought to be driving global warming. Capturing CO2 from industrial sources and creating value in EOR projects can maximize hydrocarbon recovery and provide a possible bridge to a lower carbon emissions future. In this paper we assess the injection of such as CO2 in one of Iranian under saturated oil reservoirs and comparre with natural depletion state. Results show that CO2 is compatible with reservoir oil and low Minimum Miscible Pressure therefore it is good candidate to injection.
