چکیده:

This paper analyses the environmental impacts arising from intensive poultry production, evaluating such impacts across the food chain and all environmental media. The paper also presents technical options to mitigate environmental impacts, such as improvements to farm management, animal-waste management and nutrition management, along with options to reduce the impacts of intensive feed production.Over the past decades, the poultry sector’s growth and trends towards intensification and concentration have given rise to a number of environmental concerns.
