This paper proposes an enhanced predictive controller for direct power control of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). In this paper, a control law based-on the transfer function model is described to compensate and regulate the differences between the output active and reactive power of stator of DFIG that is in interaction with the network. These methods directly investigate stator active and reactive power variations within a fixed sampling period. Simulations are performed using detailed models in Simulink/Matlab. Transient performance and steady state operation of the DFIG-based wind plants are illustrated.
