چکیده:

Nowadays, energy is one of the main concerns of the world and due to the importance of this issue, in this paper, energy consumption of an industrial induction motor that iscommonly used in fluid pumping has been improved and the efficiency of the motor has been increased. FEM (FiniteElement Method) has been used as the basic approach to reach the goal of the paper. The efficiency of the existing motor has been derived using FEM and the elements of the power losseshave been defined. Saturation of the rotor was the main problem of the power dissipation in this motor which makes usto propose a solution for this issue. At the last step the achieved improvements has been discussed and evaluated using FEM results which proves that a great improvement in the characteristics of the motor has been achieved
