چکیده:

this research presents a theoritical model describing the transient temperature and damage function involved in the application of a high temperature heat source to a skin surface. Transient temperatures are obtasined employing finite element method to solve the Pennes bioheat equation. Pennes equation is the most frequently used model to describe heat transfer processes within living tissues. Aim of the investigation is to determine the influence of applied surface temperature and geomentical dimensions on the internal transient temperature and damage function. The damage function denotes the extent of burn injury. The results indicate that epidermis and dermis thickness notably affect the temperature and burin injury
