چکیده:

The soil-structure interaction (SSI) on irregular topographic features is important in seismic ground response analyses. Presence of the structure on topographic features can change the ground response in addition to topographic effects. In this research, performing the numerical method of finite difference, the effect of underground story in addition to topographic irregularities in altering the ground seismic motion is examined. To study this problem influence of numbers of underground stories is investigated. Then the influence of the structure height with underground story studied. This numerical simulation analyses are performed for structures with various flexibility. The influence of the structure material critical damping ratio is also investigated. Results show that increasing the number of underground story and also its flexibility can aggravate the ground seismic motion that the consequence is the increase of the topographic amplification values. This study also reveals that frequency of incident motion has also an important role on ground seismic motion.
