چکیده:

Liquid-liquid equilibrium data was measured for ternary system containing aqueous acetic acid and an organic solvent (cyclohexanol) under ultrasound at 298.2K and atmospheric pressure. Phase diagram was obtained by determining tie-lines data and binodal curve. The tie-lines data were compared with the results calculated by the UNIQUAC method. As a measure of goodness of correlations, root-mean square deviations have been used. The experimental tie lines data were employed to test consistency with the Othmer-Tobias equation. The results showed cyclohexanol under ultrasound is a good solvent for extraction of acetic acid from aqueous solutions.
