چکیده:

Nd–Fe–B isotropic nanocomposite permanent magnets are composed of α-Fe soft magnetic phase and Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase and provided much interest for some potential applications due to their low cost [1]. However, the presence of rare earth neodymium in the magnets drastically accelerates the corrosion process, which in turn greatly deteriorates the magnetic properties of NdFeB [2]. Therefore, in order to improve the corrosion resistance, most efforts have been focused on the addition of alloying elements such as Co, Ga, Al, Cr and Zr. Unfortunately; these methods are always accompanied by the deterioration of the magnetic properties [2-5]. It is, therefore, necessary to find a method for improving the corrosion resistance without severely scarifying magnetic performance of the magnet. The purpose of this work is to improve the corrosion resistance of NdFeB by microalloying of Ti and C additives
