Application of membrane bioreactors (MBRs) for treatment of organic wastewaters is rapidly increasing. Many factors affecting MBR performance. In this research, effect oftemperature was investigated. For this propose, an MBR was designed. All experiments were performed using synthetic wastewaters. The results showed that w ith increasing temperature more than 96% COD and more than 99.5% phenol removals could be achieved with less sludge production being very suitable for all biological systems. Finally, effect of temperature on mixed liquor suspended solid (MLSS) and mixed liquor volatile suspended solid (MLVSS) were determined as the biological system growth. The results showed that MLSS and MLVSS growth rates decrease with increasing temperature.
