چکیده:

In the present study, the effects of single walled carbon nanotubes on mixed convection heat transfer in a liddriven cavity are investigated using Lattice Boltzmann Method based on coupled double population approach and bounce back method. The investigation is carried out for different Richardson numbers (0.1-10) and volume fractions of nanotubes (0-1%) for Grashof number of equal to 3 10 . Results have shown that addinga low value of single walled carbon nanotubes to the base fluid enhances heat transfer rate of the mixed convection significantly. It is also found lattice Boltzmann Method is a suitable numerical method to model convection heat transfer of carbon nanotube based nanofluids.
