چکیده:

The rheological behavior and morphology of high density polyethylene/high impact polystyrene/ethylene vinyl acetate/ Cloisite 20A nanocomposites was investigated. The X-ray diffractometery (XRD) analysis showed that a fraction of the nanoclay was intercalated in the polymeric phases while collapsed morphology was obtained for other parts and some other parts kept their original morphology. Rheological tests showed that the prepared nanocomposites had shear thinning behavior, obeying the power law equation. At low shear rates and lower temperatures, the addition of nanoclay decreased the shear viscosity, but at higher temperature, shear viscosityincreased. By measuring the flow activation energy of the nanocomposites, it was concluded that the temperature sensitivity of the nanocomposites was increased by increasing of nanoclay content
