Nano-particles can prepared from materials with different chemical nature like metals, metal oxides, ceramics, polymers, organic materials, carbon and bimolecular. Polymer colloids are defined as a dispersion of the monodisperse polymeric particles in liquid medium. Researches in this field is interesting for years. Recently a lots of researches are discussed about synthesis of polymeric nano-particles. These nano-particles can be used in different applications like biopolymer, bioelectric improve impact resistance. Synthesized nano-particles based on polymerization method can be spherical or nonspherical, that the methods used in each of them are various and finally the particles are created with different applications. Lots of methods like dispersion, emulsion and suspension polymerizations are used for synthesis of these nano-particles. One of the benefits of this method is performing in two steps, that in the first stage the seed particles are prepared and in the second stage the polymerization can be continued forproduction of monodisperse composite. Type of solvent, temperature of the polymerization are the factors affecting the shape of nano-particles. In this article, the monodisperse polystyrene (PS) seed particles are produced and the different parameterscontributing in production of them are explained. In previous works 2,2´-azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) initiator and polyvinylpirrolidone (PVP) stabilizer ware used for synthesis of polystyrene particles, Hence in this article Dimyristyle proxydicarbonate (MYPC) is used and the average diameter of particles (Dn) and coefficient of variation (Cv) also are explained.
