The mechanical behavior of a newly developed Twinning/Transformation induced plasticity steel (TRIP/TWIP) was investigated using compression tests in the temperature range of 25-1000 °C under theconstant strain rate of 0.01 s-1. The magnitude of TRIP effect was measured using Ferriteoscope testingmethod. The results indicate an outstanding high compressive strength of 1180 MPa (at true strain of 0.6) with the yield strength of 368 MPa at 25 °C. The plastic deformation in the range of 25-200 °C is controlled by both the TRIP and TWIP effects. However, the TWIP effect has been speculated as the main deformation mechanism in the temperature range of 200-1000 °C.
