چکیده:

Mass transfer coefficient in a pulsed perforated solvent extraction column has been calculated using plug flow and axial dispersion models (PFM and ADM). ADM is a developed model ofPFM, in which additional effect of axial mixing on mass transfer has been considered. All Koca values obtained from ADM is up to 50% more than those obtained using PFM. A new correlationfor Height of Transfer Unit (HTUoc) based on Reynolds number and pulse intensity is suggested in order to prediction of axial mixing effect in pulsed column
