چکیده:

The main characteristic of today’s manufacturing environments is volatility. Under a volatile environment, demand is not stable. It changes from one production period to another.To operate efficiently under such environment, the facilities should be adaptive to the changing production environment. Thissituation forces companies to evaluate and modify their facility layout in periodic fashion. This type of the layout problem iscategorized as a dynamic layout problem. This paper studies anew dynamic facility layout, in which alternative processing routes, production planning and system rearrangement decisionare incorporated. The developed model is a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) formulation. A method is used to linearize the non-linear one. This presented is verified by a number of numerical examples.
