چکیده:

the studies on the developing the empirical relationships for the attenuation of strong motions has initiated in the middle of 1990 s in iran early models was based on the selected strong motions records in iran specially related to the major earthquake recorded by the iranian accelerometric network since the mid 1970 s naghan 1977 and tabas 1978 earthquakes meanwhile a strong motion catalog was established by the author that provided a basis for the first attenuation laws for the country based on the reevaluated and processed input data in 1999.
