چکیده:

A comprehensive analysis system has been developed for analyzing nuclear particle tracks in solid state detectors (SSNTD) which are being widely used in a variety of applications through the field of radiation dosimetry. In largescale radon and neutron dosimetry, counting of particle tracks and analyzing their results is feasible by using an automatic track counting system. At this research, we have introduced a new automatic measuring and analyzer system which has two main components. The first is a high resolution digital image convertor with a transparency adapter and the second includes an image processing and analyzer program (Nuclear Track Counting Software, NTCS). The automatic counting and acquisition system contribute to achieve more objectives and reliable results. Using this system can be avoided the disadvantages of manually counting such as observer subjectivity during the track field determination, improving counting statistic, measurement of the various track parameters (surface track density and mean tracks diameter) and obtaining the fast and exact results. The relevant experimental investigations show that the linearity of track density response for increasing of radiation exposure is reliable up to 104 tracks.cm-2.
