چکیده:

Decision Support Systems (DSSs) are one the most efficient technologies which their abilities have been proved in a vast range of engineering. Combination of GIS and water resources as well as geographical user interfaces could create powerful tools in water resources planning known as spatial decision support systems. This paper introduces a new spatial decision support system (SDSS) developed specifically for water resources systems planning. While the characteristics of a high tech SDSS is discussed generally, capabilities of the new SDSS, KSDSS, as well as its modules are presented. KSDSS benefits from a tight connection of GIS and DSS, which includes number of different modules helping decision makers coming up to most appropriate decisions on water resources development
