چکیده:

—The purpose of a car suspension system is to improve the ride comfort and to support the vehicle body .It usually consists of a spring and a damper .This paper deals with the optimal design of a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller for an suspension system using genetic algorithms (GA). The ride comfort is improved by means of the reduction of the body acceleration caused by the car body when road disturbances from smooth road and real road roughness .The paper describes also the model and controller used in the study and discusses the vehicle response results obtained from a range of road input simulations. In the conclusion, is shown using MATLAB simulations.
