Subjects related to strength and durability of structures such as oil and gas transmission pipelines is of great importance. Considering the special characteristics of these structures including their design, construction and the applied loads, damage of these structures is always probable. Repair welding is a frequent way for removal of such damages and improvement of strength and resistance of these structures. In this paper, proper numerical modelling and coupled thermo-mechanical finite element analysis for simulation of repair welding process is conducted using ABAQUS software. Post weld heat treatment (PWHT) is simulated for original and repair weld using a creep analysis method
